Smoke in BBQ is created when oil drips from food being cooked on the grill. This BBQ minimizes smoke by cooking food using reflected infrared heat from the charcoal. Coal is placed in a separate chamber that is covered with a vented lid. The lid protects the coal from oil that drips from food, and in this manner reduces the amount of smoke produced.

The grill is also easy to clean as coal is contained within a separate chamber that is easy to remove.
